This article covers checking that a chat app works, common issues, and how to reconnect. The article Connecting Microsoft Teams, Slack and other chat apps says how to set one up.
Checking it works
Send your assistant a message such as "Hello" or "Are you there?" in Microsoft Teams, Slack or the other chat app you connected. If it answers, the connection works.
No answer in the chat app
- Check your computer is on. Your team runs on your computer: if it's asleep or shut down, it can't answer. Wake it up and try again.
- Check your Wi-Fi. Your team needs internet access to receive and send messages.
- Wait 2 minutes. If your computer just woke from sleep, the team needs a moment to reconnect.
- Check the Maxiful app. Open Team, then Assistants, and check your assistant is not paused or stopped. If it is, click Resume or Let it work again.
- Check the Connections page. A chat app that has stopped working shows there as not connected, with how to set it up again. Under Settings, then Account, Support lists it too, with Put it right.
Reconnecting
If you made a new bot or new tokens, open the Connections page, choose How to set up beside the chat app, follow its steps with the new details and choose Save and connect.
Writing from several devices
You can write to your team from any device where the chat app is installed: phone, tablet, or computer. Your messages reach the same team.
