Maxiful updates itself on your computer. You never have to download anything, and everything your assistants run on is updated together with the app.
How you know
Maxiful looks for an update when it starts and every six hours. When a new version is ready, a banner at the top of the window says so, with Update now and Later, and a notification tells you too. Later hides the banner for up to a day. In Settings, your Account shows the same under Updates, and Check now looks again at once.
Two ways to take it
- Update now: Maxiful closes, updates and opens again, and your assistants restart with it.
- Quit Maxiful: an update that is ready installs when you quit, or the next time you open Maxiful.
What to expect
- A brief pause: while Maxiful restarts, your assistants may not answer. Messages sent during this window are queued and processed afterward.
- Nothing is lost: your assistants, conversations, memory, knowledge, settings and sign-in stay as they are, and Maxiful backs up your settings, conversations and memory before every update.
When an update cannot finish
A download that stops is tried again. If an update cannot be applied, Maxiful keeps the version you have and says so, and you can always install Maxiful again from your account at maxiful.ai. When your plan ends, updates stop.
