Your assistants can answer you on Telegram. You create a bot of your own, and your Chief of Staff answers when you message it. Setup takes about three minutes.
What you'll need
- A Telegram account
- The Maxiful app on your computer
Setting it up
- In the Maxiful app, open the Connections page. It is not in the list on the left at first: open it from the menu beside Pages.
- Beside Telegram, choose How to set up and follow the steps. In Telegram you create a bot with @BotFather, which gives you a token.
- Paste the token into the form on that page, with your own Telegram user ID if you know it (send any message to @userinfobot in Telegram to see it), then choose Save and connect. Your user ID is how Maxiful knows which Telegram account is yours.
- If you left your user ID out, send your bot a direct message from your own account. It answers with a code of eight letters and numbers: enter it on Telegram's card on the Connections page.
Who can use your bot
Nobody, until you say so. Only the people you add are answered. To let a colleague use your assistants there, add them on the Team page, under People, and link the Telegram account they use. Each colleague you add writes to your bot in a conversation of their own.
After setup
Your own messages to the bot arrive in your main conversation with your Chief of Staff. The token you paste stays on your computer. Your computer has to be on for your bot to answer.
