Marcoは毎週手作業でこなしている定例の運用チェックリストを代わりに実行します。スプレッドシート台帳での帳簿の締め、1Passwordでの認証情報のローテーション、古いSlackスレッドのアーカイブ、バックアップの開始、月曜にチームが見るダッシュボードの更新などです。壊れやすいAPIスクリプトをつなぎ合わせる代わりに、人と同じように実際のデスクトップアプリを操作するので、互いに連携するようには作られていないツールの間でも定例作業が回ります。手順の順番、触るアカウント、「完了」の基準といったプレイブックは一度決めれば、Marcoが毎回同じように進めます。必要な手順ではメールや接続済みのワークスペースも使います。

すべてお使いのパソコン上で、許可したアプリとアカウントに対して動きます。ファイルや認証情報が外部の自動化サービスに渡ることはありません。稼働中のキーのローテーション、チャンネルの消去、バックアップの上書きなど、元に戻せない手順もあるので、重要なものには人の確認を挟み、実行全体を完全に無人にはしないでください。
